John McGowan has a BA in Economics from Binghamton University and an MBA in Finance from Arizona State University and served 24 years with the New York Fed before retiring in 2021. John has 15+ years of experience working in the money markets section of the Fed’s Open Market Trading Desk and has co-authored two articles on the topic of monetary policy implementation.

John also taught Macroeconomics as a Part Time Lecturer at Rutgers University for three semesters in 2017 and 2018. John is happily married with two grown children and is looking forward to celebrating the next Mets’ World Series victory.
